"You'll be dedicated and that's what you should want to be in anything in life - whether it's sports or academics or your relationship. It all stems from finding that fun, that thrill, that excitement." ~ Brandi Chastain

I was told while I was in high school not to worry too much about what major I choose, as almost 70% of college students change their major at some point. I just did not think that was going to be me.It become apparent to me in my sophomore year that my major in Psychology was not what I had expected. Coming to MCLA I thought I wanted to get my Ph D. in Psychology and go on to make ground breaking research. It was not until I took my first psychology research course that I realized that path was not at all for me. Through the courses in the core curriculum as well as seeking advice from my advisor I chose to explore Social Work. Thus giving me my minor as well as exposing me to the wonderful world of Sociology where I was able to find my second major.
