"Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray." ~ Rumi

A free spirit who isn't afraid to tell it how it is, she's had numerous adjectives attributed to her over the years: hardworking, knowledgeable, determined, instinctive, and capable; just to name a few. Yet as she wrote this window into her life and personality, the word the seemed to come through the most was humble. If left to her own devices without the guidance of mentors and friends this probably would have read: "Not afraid to get things done" and "will work as hard as needed to get them done." That however speaks little about who she really is.

Born and raised in Kingston NY, she grew up telling her mother she would move out on her 18th birthday, she had places to see and things to do. Although as she got older she realized that moving out at 18 was not the best idea, instead she chose to move to college six months after her 18th birthday. Her free spirited nature had her exploring colleges on the west coast, but the economy forced her to settle in a bit closer to home. She ventured to a new state, and now can boast that she went to the state of Massachusetts on a whim, but she fell in love with the little school in the Berkshires and found her home away from home.

Although only two hours away from home, this new school showed her a strange land where sprinkles are called jimmys, subs are called grinders, and water fountains are called bubblers. Yet this tiny place in the Berkshires captivated her adventurous spirt and she found mentors who grew up in different countries, and professors who have lived abroad. Fueled by the passion she developed from hearing of others experiences she soared far beyond the mountain town of North Adams, and the small nurting place of MCLA.

Through her experiences of five different countries in the four years spent at her "college right from the start" she has developed a deep interest in different cultures. This interest deepend as she spent her first year post college teaching English in China. She continues to travel and is constantly searching for new ways to found her adventurous life style.
