 Junior Year

By the time my junior year rolled around, I was really reaching out into the MCLA community. The previous spring, I had applied to be a peer advisor. As a peer advisor, I was assigned a group of incoming students to help out during the school year. I moved in several days before everyone else and helped out with First Days, a program which helps incoming freshmen and transfer students acclimate to life at MCLA. Throughout the year, I planned a few programs for students to attend and was a resource for them if they needed any advice or help.

In addition, I started working in the Admission Office in the fall of my junior year. I began as the Teleblazing coordinator and an office assistant and then later as an Admission Ambassador.

In the fall of my junior year I was also inducted into MCLA's chapter of Alpha Chi. Alpha Chi is a nationally-affiliated honor society for college juniors and seniors. I was quite honored to be invited to join.

In the summer between my junior and senior years, I studied abroad in Valencia, Spain for six weeks. It was an amazing experience which I will never forget.
