How do I join- contact program student coordinator Martha Pratt via FC expressing your interest in the program.

Is there an application to participate- the program coordinator will meet with you to go over details, make sure the program meets your needs and expectations, and you will attend an orientation.  There is not a written application.

How do I get placed with a local teacher- the program coordinator takes your interests and schedule and matches that with interested teachers.

What is the time commitment- most STICS volunteers do between 1- 3 hours a week, but it is dependent on your availability and the needs of the local teachers.  While most volunteers do it for the year, you can do it just for a semester.  You can keep your teacher or switch to a new classroom.

Can I receive course credit- many students do.  You need to speak with your instructor in the beginning of the semester.

How do I get there- if a volunteer does not have their own vehicle, MCLA can provide transportation
