STANDARD D:  PROMOTES EQUITY

Every individual deserves to be welcomed into a cooperative, respectful, and engaging learning environment where lifelong learning is valued, improvement incessant, and excellence achieved through active practice and experimentation. In my classroom, I intend to promote achievement by all students, encouraging them to participate and share their various talents and interests. It is my aim to to encourage every student to realize that effort is key to achievement, giving every student the tools necessary to be continually well-prepared and confident to meet future endeavors, realizing lifelong economic, social, and civic success.

As as teacher, I intend to provide a means by which all students have equal opportunities to the pursuit of knowledge, experience, and achievement.
