STANDARD C:
MANAGES CLASSROOM CLIMATE AND OPERATION
For our first grade classroom management plan, Mrs. Capeless and I began introducing rules, routines, and procedures on the first day, and have added various methods as we've gone along.
As described in Child Development and Education, a “community of learners” is “a classroom in which teacher(s) and students actively and collaboratively work to help one another learn” (McDevitt and Ormrod, 2013). While every teacher has their unique style and every student has their own interests and abilities, the creation of a supportive and encouraging climate is something that will thrive throughout the hallways, into every classroom, on the playground, and into the community. Through this shared school identity, faculty, staff, and students alike develop a sense of common goals, support each other’s efforts, and are willing to equally contribute to a safe, welcoming, and rewarding school climate.
Please browse through the four indicators to learn how our students worked to make good choices, stay on task, and be the most successful students they could be!

This is very detailed and touches upon all of the important aspects of management and climate, but may be a bit long as an introduction. Perhaps you can use parts of this for the individual indicators in this standard. For example, keep the first para. and use the 2nd for indictor 1. The 3rd para. could be used in Standard E as part of your intro there.

Great start Gina! You may want to add why you made these choices and what you are hoping to foster and create by reinforcing these critical pieces to classroom management (community, invested, autonomous learners, etc.)
