I am a Professor in the Department of History and Political Science at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. I teach survey courses in world history and a variety of specialized courses  in European history, as well as travel courses.

In Fall 2020, I am teaching HIST 290 Historical Methods and Theory, HIST 230 War, Science, and Society, and one upper-level course. HIST 305 England from 1066-1603 examines six centuries of tumultuous English history, moving from the invasion of William the Conqueror through to the age of the Tudor monarchs such as Henry VIII and Elizabeth I.

My Ireland Travel Course combines the study of Irish history, culture, and society with a ten day trip during spring break in which we visit the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland; I plan to offer it for a fifth time in Spring 2021.
